Membership & Support
Final Journey Home is a Cameroonian solidarity association in the Netherlands. We are not a funeral company. We are not insurance. We are members supporting members when there is a death in our community - quickly, quietly, and with dignity. This page explains how it works and what it means to join.
Becoming a member
You register once and pay a one-time €25 membership fee. You provide your details and your next-of-kin contact. This information must be complete. Without this, you are not considered active.

When there is a death
When a registered member (or their approved close family member) passes away, we open a solidarity campaign for that case. All active members in Good Standing are notified and asked to contribute within 10 days. This is how we protect each other.
Shared contribution
Every active member is asked to send the same fixed amount for that case. The total support for the family comes from all those individual contributions. The more active members we have, the smaller the amount each person needs to give. Many hands make the load lighter.
Supporting the family
After the campaign closes, the collected money is transferred to the family of the deceased member. The family decides how to use it:
-
Funeral costs
-
Repatriation to Cameroon if they wish
-
Burial or cremation in the Netherlands
-
Any other urgent needs
We do not tell the family how to spend it. We respect their wishes.
Why you should join now
In our community, we all know what used to happen. We refuse to continue like that. This system exists so that when your own family needs help, the support is already organized.
